Baby shower weekend

This Saturday I hosted one of my very close friend's baby shower in my house with the additional help and support of some other girlfriends that brought delicious home made food, treats and gifts for the party. The weather was extremely hot and so were the guests :) We all dressed up in costumes to celebrate the baby's first Halloween party even before he was born. The signature of the party ,besides the colorful costumes, was the boy oh boy cake from Sugar Butter Flour with banana and chocolate inside.

Here is me with my orangish red wig and the queen of the prince and the party...

Antique touches

Even though hubby and I both have a taste for modern living and contemporary home design we were thrilled to accept this Swiss made clock from my parents and have been displaying it as our favorite centerpiece on the stairs wall. The vintage vase is also the newest addition to the rustic corner where I display a few more vintage items.
With some vintage appeal and antique touches you can also turn any part of your home into a fun, rustic place like I did. I will probably add a few more items over the next years but will make sure to not turn this corner of the house into a overwhelmingly crowded spot which creates anxiety instead of comfort and relaxation.

Herbs, spices...Sky Planters!

I have always wanted to have the convenience of having my favorite herbs while experimenting my cooking talents. Sky planter seems like a very fun idea to keep some fresh parsley, dill and basils in your kitchen.

Display your artwork

Whether you think you are talented or not, give your artwork a chance and display them in your house. I enjoy looking at my own work as much as I enjoy Picasso's mediterranean landscape reproduction hanged on my living room wall.

This one belongs to my husband and is my favorite
